There are a keyboard controls missing, and they'll be missing at least in the beta:
- Alt-T to edit tools (there is no tool editor in AXIS yet)
- 0..9 to set feed override (0..5 are used for axes, like tkemc)
- Alt-<axis> to set coordinate offsets
- @, # to display actual/commanded, machine/relative coordinates (actual machine coordinates are always displayed)
- V to validate (validation is implicit when a file is opened)
- L to override limits (won't add without an onscreen indicator)
- ,/. to change jog speed (won't have separate jog speed control, since feed override affects jog speed)
- Alt-P, Alt-S to control logging
There are a few bindings that are different in AXIS than xemc:
- T to step (vs A in xemc)
- A to select A axis, [ and ] to jog it (not in xemc)
- `, 0-5 to select axes (same as tkemc, but 0-9 control feed override in xemc)
I ran the latest CVS version of AXIS on my BDI-46 machine last night, and it fits (just barely) on an 800x600 screen.
That finishes up the TODO items for our public beta release, so the software is essentially ready to go!
