Elkhorn Slough Boat Tour

On our way back from Monterey to San Francisco, we rode a pontoon boat on the Elkhorn Slough near Moss Landing (named for Mr. Moss, not the plant). This provided the trip's best opportunity to get close to seals, sea lions, and sea otters.

It's hard to do justice to all we saw in an album with a manageable number of photos. We saw hundreds of sea mammals, and hundreds of birds from dozens of species. If you have a chance to take this tour, I highly recommend it.
