On this trip, I took a number of panoramic photographs. Click the "(L)" link for the truly huge, scrollable version of each panorama.
<p>The panoramas were stitched (from as many as 20 images, or 1/8 of a gigapixel!)
using <a href="http://hugin.sourceforge.net/">Hugin</a>. This is a great—and
free—program that runs on Windows and Mac in addition to Linux; I can't
recommend it enough. When the images are decently aligned, it is a very fast
(and not at all fiddly) process to produce a very decent panorama.Montréal Botanical Garden2007-07-23T15:49:57Z2007-07-23T15:49:57Zhttps://emergent.unpythonic.net/01185205797<div style="float:right;clear:right"><!-- img_6969.jpg--><div class=albumouter style=width:306px id=><div class=albumimage style="width:306px;margin-left:0.0px;"><a href="https://media.unpythonic.net/emergent-files/01185205797/img_6969-medium.jpg" class="thickbox" rel="album" title="Bee on coneflower"><img src="https://media.unpythonic.net/emergent-files/01185205797/img_6969-small.jpg" width=300 height=200></a><div ><div style="float: right" ><a href="https://media.unpythonic.net/emergent-files/01185205797/img_6969-medium.jpg">(M)</a><a href="https://media.unpythonic.net/emergent-files/01185205797/img_6969.jpg">(L)</a></div><a href="https://media.unpythonic.net/emergent-files/01185205797/img_6969.jpg">Bee on coneflower</a></div></div></div>

On our last day in Montréal the weather finally cleared—it had
been raining for two days straight—so Ingrid and I headed to the
Jardin Botanique (Botanical Garden). Unfortunately, we only had a few
hours to spend at the gardens and so we only saw about a quarter of it. In
that time I still managed to get a bunch of nice photos.Canada Trip 20072007-07-19T11:30:27Z2007-07-19T11:30:27Zhttps://emergent.unpythonic.net/01184844627As we pause in Quebec City, I thought I should take the time to upload a few
photos.Photos from my recent trip to Canada2005-08-24T20:40:46Z2005-08-24T20:40:46Zhttps://emergent.unpythonic.net/01124916046Here are some photographs from my recent trip to British Columbia,
along with Ingrid and her folks. We first went to Victoria, visiting several
nearby beaches and the Buchant gardens. Later we went to Whistler, a ski
village north of Vancouver. I took only a few photos there. Finally, we spent
the last day and a half in Vancouver itself, but I didn't take any pictures.
Ingrid has more photos from Whistler and Vancouver, perhaps she'll put them
online someday.Canada dinner experience, links to photos2005-08-13T04:51:24Z2005-08-13T04:51:24Zhttps://emergent.unpythonic.net/01123908684After being seated, Camilla showed up with our menus. Roger
asked about the vegetarian meal he had been promised on the phone, and she said
"who told you that?" and "that's not correct!"
