Photos from Marburg

We spent a day visiting Marburg, near Frankfurt, which is a wonderful town with lots of neat old architecture and a fantastic botanic garden.

The old city of Marburg lies up a steep hill. You can take the stairs, or do what almost everyone seems to do and take the nice elevators. This photo is looking back up at the old city from down below.

Bumblebee on Bugloss from the Canary Islands (Echium callithrysum) Ingrid's camera so not as good as Jeff's photos.

Jade vine (Strongylodon macrobotrys). Loved the color of those flowers. It is native to the Phillipines.

Not sure..I think this was in the fern area.

A view of the arboretum outside. Didn't have much time to explore, and they hadn't planted annuals yet, but lots of nice trees.
